The study by researchers at the Asian American Center on Disparities Research at the University of California, Davis, was reported in a bill session, "Clinical, Counseling, and Consulting," on Sunday, Aug. 17, at the annual meeting of the American Psychological Association in Boston.
"Up to 2.4 per centum of the U.S. population self-identifies as mixed subspecies, and nearly of these individuals name themselves as biracial," aforesaid Nolan Zane, a prof of psychology and Asian American studies at UC Davis. "We cannot underestimate the importance of discernment the social, psychological and experiential differences that may increase the likelihood of psychological disorders among this fast-growing segment of the population."
Zane and his co-investigator, UC Davis psychology calibrate student Lauren Berger, launch that 34 percent of biracial individuals in a national survey had been diagnosed with a psychological disorder, such as anxiousness, depression or substance abuse, versus 17 percent of monoracial individuals. Reuters reports that Los Angeles Superior Court Commissioner Scott Gordon ordered on Monday that the psychiatrist file a report on the 26-year-old's mental condition by 13 February.
On 14 February it will be decided how much longer Spears' assets should remain under the temporary control of her father and his attorney.
Commissioner Gordon also said that a restraining order against Spears' self-styled manager and confidant, Sam Lutfi, forbids him from any form of contact with her.
Spears was taken to the UCLA Medical Center for a 72-hour psychiatric evaluation last week; her stay has now been extended to two weeks.

Police have said Wolozin made 3 calls to Olsen ahead dialling 911 for help and then phoned the 21-year-old actress a quartern time afterward paramedics arrived.
At about point during the calls Olsen, wHO was in Calif., summoned her personal security guards to the flat to help, police let said.
